BUSINESS COLOSSEUM 2008
 (A Workshop cum Competition)

Its all about Youth, New Ideas and Experience…

                                      AIESEC Jaipur


This Business Plan Competition was initiated under the project of Eureka in  Corporate Sector 1 to foster Entrepreneurship at college & university level & also aims at engaging the corporate in session taking & in participation in the event also.

The event was itself was a innovation  as it was the first time that any organization is organizing a event in which at the initial stage there will be a workshop in which participants first of all learnt that how to make & write a business plan with an assistance of Business Plan Workshop after that they have made their executive summary on the basis of which  short listing for the further round  had taken place and in the final round or in the competition the short listed teams have presented their detailed business plans with their teams.


 The whole event was divided into two phases 


Phase 1 (Workshop) – The participants will learn that how they can make the business plans with the help of a mass workshop.

Phase 2 (Competition) – There was a competition amongst the top ten teams which was got selected for the final round after the filtering of their Executive Summary.


Glimpse of Phase one (Workshop):
The workshop was organized in Global Institute of Technology with intellect support of National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) on 9th November 2008.                                                                              
73 teams consist 280 students from different colleges have participated in the workshop.
There were sessions on writing a business plan, what is the necessity of B-plans, marketing           analysis,  competitor’s analysis, operation, management & financial plan 
The session have been taken by various well renowned faculties & entrepreneurs

In this event we partnered with NEN (National Entrepreneurship Network) for the Intellect support. All the speakers in workshop were invited through  NEN network. 

Specifically in Phase 1 we  also partnered with Global Institute of Technology for the infrastructure support. The college provided us 25 volunteers & breakfast of 250 people.

 The associate sponsorship for cash was with Aegis & Fitpack .These companies provided us with INR 10000. 
                                                   

We had partnered with Rajasthan Patrika & 95 FM Tadka for the post & pre event articles & updates on Radio as well as there was two advertisements in their supplement paper Just Jaipur on 3rd & 5th of Nov.2008. The market price of those advertisements was INR 115000 was raised.

Apart from this partnership we had post & pre event articles in Samachar Jagat & Mahanagar Times.

During the course of this event more than 20 college students & one corporate team of Talwarkars had took participation the event.

 Phase 2 (Competition)

The Competition was organized in Maharishi Arvind College with intellect support of National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) on 16th January 2009.



The college provided us 25 volunteers and refreshment for 100 people.
In this phase there were ten teams which had participated in the final round.
The teams had presented their final Business Plan presentations in front of the judges on the basis of their presentations the judges have evaluated them.

Reward & Recognition


The winners have received subsidized internships from AIESEC as well as trophies & certificates.
